Scripture: Colossians 3:23, And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men. It is important to make every effort to do things with a heightened sense of enthusiasm. This must be unto God and not unto man.
How do we avoid losing enthusiasm when it keeps us interested in our God-given tasks?
It's important not to lose enthusiasm & determination, this is because it keeps you focused, when you see athletes, such as BOLT, JORDAN, SERENA, their mind is set on one thing and it doesn't matter what happens behind, even if someone FALLS, TRIPS OR MISS, their mind is set on the goal. This attitude enables you to overcome disappointment, setbacks, and it allows you to keep your eyes on your priority.
Col. 4:7-8, when you go through any circumstances, God is always present, he will allow you to go through trials, and through it strengthen you to overcome, He will also send help in tough times, because failures and difficulties are part of the course of life, but God promises to help us, most importantly we have to stay on course and not give up, because better is coming and the difficulties are only for a time.
* Success is the ability to go from one failure to another without losing enthusiasm*. This gives you the motivation to take action every day. To reach your goals in life, is to make a decision to act each day to get to your purpose.
Nothing great was ever achieved without the ability to show interest in something. Ask yourself, what do you care deeply about in your life, what change do you want to see, what makes you angry that you want to turn it around? The Kingdom of God is not only words but action. Romans 12:11-13, 11, not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12, rejoicing in hope, patient[a] in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; 13 distributing to the needs of the saints, given[b] to hospitality
Serve without getting weary and reflect the Christlike behaviour we ought to. Having the knowledge of the truth about yourself and what God requires of us, empowers us, and it develops our enthusiasm. So take some time to ask yourself these questions, and answer them.
1. How do I show enthusiasm in my daily life?
2. What can I do to develop a godly attitude of enthusiasm?
3. Is there anything that prevents me from showing the character of enthusiasm? if you feel you lack this.
4. How do I make enthusiasm work better and stronger in times of crisis?
Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
